During this period we continued with the task of spreading mulch
throughout the beds in our area as we are currently working on
restoration of the area following it’s degradation with the Dec 2013
floods.
In November, our shed was replaced thanks to out local councillor
Amanda Cooper. The old shed was in a poor state with rust on the
sides and roof. We had tried to repair i several times, but eventually
it was no longer economically worth the time and effort. Thanks
Councillor Cooper who is shown in the photo with Bushies Russell

December 2014 saw the official opening of the new bridge on the cycle and
pedestrian footpath. This is our 3rd bridge. The first one was burnt down by
vandals who also destroyed the bird nesting area. The second bridge was made
unsafe as a result of the flooding. The first 2 bridges were timber construction and
the new one is concrete and steel. Its been built to withstand the effects of vandalism as well as weather and environmental damage.
Councillor Amanda Cooper opened the new bridge on 17th December 2014. Below are some photos of the new bridge.
